This book contains 16 lectures which discuss the characteristics and teaching method of reading courses of elementary, intermediate, and advanced levels with examples and theoretical analyses in simple language. It also gives analysis on reading tests including the part of reading comprehension of HSK which has received much attention from teachers and students. It also talks about how to compile reading textbooks, which is of special instructional meaning for teachers who have just engaged themselves in the teaching of reading of a foreign language.
