AP Chinese Exam Preparation Program

I. Program Overview

eBLCU.com, operated by the Continuing Education College of Beijing Language and Culture University, focuses on cross-border distance learning programs in Chinese language education and the international promotion of Chinese culture. To date, it has trained over 10,000 young and adult learners from more than 130 countries and regions.

The AP Chinese Exam Preparation Program offers a structured, tiered curriculum based on the official AP Chinese exam syllabus and recent testing trends. It consists of two stages: the Pre-AP Intensive Course and the AP Exam Sprint Course, forming a complete "skill building + targeted breakthrough" system. The Intensive Course focuses on strengthening core language skills, while the Sprint Course emphasizes test-taking strategies and performance. Students may enroll in either stage or both, allowing for flexible and personalized preparation.

II. Learning Objectives
Pre-AP Intensive Course: Strengthen overall listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills; expand core vocabulary; and progressively meet the language proficiency and cultural understanding required by the AP Chinese exam.
AP Exam Sprint Course: Build test-taking strategies through targeted practice and simulated exams; help students master the exam format, question types, and time management skills to achieve competitive scores.

  • Students who do not yet meet the prerequisites may first enroll in other progressive Chinese courses offered by eBLCU.com.

  • Class schedules will be adjusted based on the geographic distribution and time zones of enrolled students.

V. Course Content
Pre-AP Intensive Course
Instruction is organized around the six themes of the AP Chinese exam syllabus. Weekly assignments include news listening and retelling, reading comprehension and summarization, cultural presentations, and journal writing—all designed to steadily build language proficiency.


AP Exam Sprint Course
Targeted Modules: Intensive practice on all six listening, reading, writing, and speaking question types, with a focus on high-frequency exam topics and challenging areas.
Strategy Training: Step-by-step guidance on question analysis, test-taking techniques, scoring strategies, and time management.
Mock Exams: Regular full-length practice tests with detailed feedback on scoring patterns and common mistakes.
Real Exam Practice: Review of exam trends and patterns, along with strategic guidance for effective preparation.

VI. Instructors
All instructors are experienced faculty members at Beijing Language and Culture University specializing in international Chinese education. Each has over ten years of teaching and research experience, and most have more than five years of experience specifically in AP Chinese exam preparation. They are highly familiar with the exam syllabus and testing requirements.

VII. Tuition Fees
Pre-AP Intensive Course: 
  Group class: 12,000 RMB/person; 
  One-on-one: 20,000 RMB/person.
AP Exam Sprint Course: 
  Group class: 5,760 RMB/person; 
  One-on-one: 9,600 RMB/person.
Combined Enrollment Discount: 
  Enroll in both stages and receive 2,000 RMB off the total tuition.
