Work with co-teachers to lead and plan curriculum activities that stimulate children interest and ability following Knowledge Tree requirements.
Maintain a well-organized and clean classroom by continually restoring and enhancing the environment suitable for children.
Participate in need and service meetings, parent/teacher conferences.
Participate in staff meeting and professional development training.
Provide daily intake to children, comments and close communication with parents.
Maintain records on each child’s progress and development for planning and evaluation.
Ensure the daily care of every child by following all licensing guidelines and implementing center standards.
Be flexible to work in other classrooms and other schedule if needed
Speak fluent Chinese
12 Core ECE Units completed or 6 units completed with 6 units in progress

Chinese Language Teacher (Summer 2020)
Under the direction of the Four-week Curriculum Facilitator, plan, teach and assess language classes.
Maintain accurate grade records, complete mid-session progress reports and final evaluations.
Maintain communication with Four-week Curriculum Facilitator on the progress of all villagers in the class.
Live in a cabin with children (“villagers”), as part of a counseling team, to provide supervision. Lead games, Cabin Council and other activities to create a cabin community.
Assist with other aspects of Village life, including cultural presentations and activity periods.
Complete other tasks as assigned by the dean and leadership staff.
Bachelor’s degree (B.A., B.S.) or international equivalent
Intermediate or higher proficiency in the Village language, both conversational and written
Experience teaching the Village language and culture
Experience working with adolescents 14-18 years of age

Keep records of the students’ progress, routines, and interests, and keep parents informed about their child’s development.
A valid driver's license and social security card will be needed to be screened.
