Chinese Library Series (Elementary Level): Modern Fiction Series is an elementary-level (600-word) Chinese reader that tells the story of Meimei and Dongdong’s adventures in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Xi'an, and Hong Kong using concise language and vivid illustrations. A wordlist is provided in the book, along with short exercises and an extended reading passage after the story to support student self-evaluation and classroom activities. The book can also be used with an MPR talking pen, and a free CD-ROM is included with narrations of the story, the extended reading passage, and the wordlist.
