The novel The Miracles of the Namiya General Store is a long-form fiction written by Japanese author Keigo Higashino. It was serialized in the magazine Shosetsu Yasei Jidai in 2011 and published as a standalone book by Kadokawa Shoten in March 2012.
The story takes place in a secluded street next to a general store. Anyone who writes down their worries and puts them through the mail slot at the front entrance will receive an answer the next day in the milk box at the back of the store. The novel follows the lives of various characters: Momo, a young girl torn between love and dreams because her boyfriend is terminally ill; Kuroda, who left home to pursue his musical dream but struggles in reality; and Kohta, a young boy facing a major change in his family and struggling with confusion about his relationships and future. They write their troubles in letters and throw them into the general store, leading to a series of miraculous events.
