This book systematically introduces studies made in the field of Teaching Chinese as a Second Language (TCSL), which not only includes what have now been done by Chinese researchers, but also refers to studies made by their peers in the related disciplines (foreign language teaching, for example) in other countries. In addition to making an introduction, the author put forward to some new points of views in an effort to make the outline of this topic clearer. As the author quotes, “In the current education field around the world, teaching evaluation is regarded as one of the three most important research topics. Teaching evaluation plays an important part for the development, reform, management and decision-making of education, so it is considered of crucial importance by education sectors of many countries.” Despite the great improvements made in this field, further exploration is still needed. The publication of this book fills this gap.
