It’s My Book – Guided Reading in Chinese
 
It’s My Book – Guided Reading in Chinese is a leveled Chinese reading series designed for K–5 learners in North America. The series helps children progressively develop their Chinese reading skills through engaging, age-appropriate stories and carefully controlled vocabulary.
Each level includes 30 books organized around six themes: Self, Family, School, Social, Animals & Plants, and Nature. Each theme features five individual stories, with each story presented as a separate book.
Vocabulary, sentence structures, and reading difficulty are carefully controlled at each level, allowing students to build their Chinese proficiency step by step. The thematic and leveled structure makes the series especially suitable for guided reading, Chinese immersion programs, classroom instruction, and independent reading.
Level 1 consists of 6 themes × 5 books per theme, for a total of 30 books. Each Level 1 book contains approximately 50 Chinese characters, providing beginning readers with an accessible and confidence-building introduction to Chinese reading.
Level 1 – Nature Theme
This set includes 5 books from the Nature theme of Level 1. Through engaging, easy-to-read stories inspired by the natural world, seasons, weather, and the environment, young learners can develop essential Chinese vocabulary, strengthen reading comprehension, and build confidence in exploring and describing the world around them in Chinese.
