It’s My Book – Guided Reading in Chinese
Level 6 of It’s My Book – Guided Reading in Chinese is designed for Chinese immersion K-8 learners. Like the other levels in the series, Level 6 includes 30 individual storybooks organized into six themes: Individual, Family, School, Social Studies, Animals & Plants, and Nature.
Each story is carefully controlled to include around 300 Chinese characters, with the total text length for each book also kept at approximately 300 characters, making the books manageable while helping young learners steadily expand their reading ability.
In addition to the storybooks, Level 6 includes pinyin texts.
Level 6 – Individual
This set includes 5 books from the Individual of Level 6 in It’s My Book – Guided Reading in Chinese. These stories introduce young learners to social topics such as friendship, cooperation, appreciating others, learning from one another, and building positive relationships with people and animals.
Designed for young Chinese learners in immersion settings, the books feature controlled vocabulary and short texts of approximately 300 Chinese characters each. Through engaging and age-appropriate stories, children can build reading confidence while developing vocabulary and sentence patterns related to friendship, communication, teamwork, social interaction, and understanding others.
